I doubt it. AMD hasn’t really impressed me since the Opterons.
If the Steam Hardware Survey is accurate it kind of tells the same story with Intel in ~88% of gamer computers even after a drop of ~3% in December.

Do you think people generally will buy the “Best CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K” at €392.45 (~€430 Proshop) or the “Best high-end CPU: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X” at €880 (~€1051 Proshop)? I know what my wallet would choose. 😉
