can you walk on that? Or do you slip away??
Diana Studer As thin as this is, it is like walking on egg shells. Lovely crunchy sound. It can – when the weather allows – grow quite thick and solid enough to carry animals and children, and even a grown man. There is nothing quite like the pain of falling when skiing on thick “skare”. That ice crust can really shave off some skin if you are unfortunate. Skare and new snow can be a dangerous mix, as it creates a slippery surface and fast release for avalanches.
