If you need a BT headset for your phone and for Skype – the Plantronics Voyager UC B825-M is a great choice. I’ve been using it for a month now, and totally love it.
Noise cancelling, BT 4.1, Multihost, and PC support tailored for Skype.
I use the same headset for Skype calls and Phone calls, and there is zero fiddling with the headset to make that work seamlessly. When the phone, or Skype rings – just put on the headset, and it picks up the call without you having to press or click anything.
The noise cancelling is surprisingly good for an on-ear headset. It really makes a difference.
If you are playing music on your phone, and someone wants your attention, just hang the headset around your neck, and the music stops – and resumes when you put it back on your head.
The volume control is elegant – no small buttons to find, just dial the outside cap up or down. You can mute with a button on the boom, you can answer or hangup by pressing the mike-side cap, and there is a slide button to turn Noise Cancelling on and off. When walking in traffic, I would actually recommend having it off.
Time from turning on to it is hooked up to the phone and PC is so fast that you will manage to answer that call, using the headset, even if it was turned off.
It’s not cheap – but it really works well.
Nope, I am not being sponsored, or getting kickbacks – just a happy user.
