PHP on Google AppEngine!

Was rather happy to see the release of PHP on AppEngine at IO this week. The getting started docs are https://developers.google.com/appengine/docs/php/gettingstarted/ – and the session introducing it is already on YouTube!
After watching the presentation, you get the feeling this may not quite yet be ready for prime time. There are restrictions in the App Engine platform that might limit some applications and popular frameworks. e.g. You cannot write to the file system.
However, it does sound like Google will be working with the developers of popular frameworks to make porting them into App Engine easier.
