It is almost like we have gone full circle from a TTY terminal + vi.

Makes me think of the old joke about the talking dog: it’s not that he does it well, but that he does it at all. I still consider a browser a blunt instrument.
I wouldn’t say the browser is blunt – rather I find it a bit finicky.
