I have an N7 (2012 vintage) I could start playing around with. Little easier to play around with Android than iOS, because you can sideload apps without the app store (right?).

There is a new version that just got released. Not sure if my 2012 version is now outdated.
They Nexus 7 (2012) has been updated to Jelly Bean 4.3 so it is not really outdated.
mm. I need to update mine. It’s still at 4.2. What’s new in 4.3? I’m beta testing iOS 7, and I like it so far.
