Michael Rainey Death metal eh… Hate to be an elitist sounding scumbag, but there’s not a shred of death metal in their music. At least not on this LP, haven’t heard their other work if they have anything else.

Alex Wayne They’re billed as the most kawaii death metal group but I don’t speak Japanese so I don’t know how metal the lyrics actually are. I like it because it’s not the same old music factory crap that’s all over the radio.
Michael Rainey Well I personally also welcome innovation in metal regardless of the attempt as long as it’s in earnest.
On their self-titled LP I’ve heard elements of metalcore, dubstep, industrial, hell I swear there was even a limp bizkit “Nu metal” moment on one of the songs, but death metal nah.
I have a soft spot for early Girugamesh.
Alex Wayne If you think this is not Metal enough I would suggest to give the songs Headbanger, Megitsune, Akatsuki or Rondo of Nightmare a try. Their newest song “The One” was made in cooperation with dragonforce.
nodlimax I never said it wasn’t metal enough. I did however say that I’ve listened to their full EP which contains all of those songs except for”The One” lol.

I don’t really consider them death metal neither except maybe for the song Death which is pretty much my least favourite song of them.
But then again I’m not unhappy about that because I’m not really into death metal myself. I prefer my singers to have clear voices 😉
