Jacob Jan Tuinstra – Yeah – I think there will be a super zoom somewhere in my future. Although I love my D7000 – the P900 would be a much more practical walkabout camera.
nice to have … would be really nice to have 🙂

That’s not a “wow”, that’s a “uauuuuuuuuuu”. I have an old D3000 with a 500x Smayang ➕ a 2x multiplayer (that’s a 1000x) and doesn’t do what this 83x optical does. As I said uauuuuuuuuuu

I was very close to placing an order – but I’m going to wait for the 100x Canon before I decide.
I really don’t “need” a 83x zoom camera at all. So why wait for a 100x zoom camera 🙂
Neither do I – but it is “nice to have” 🙂
Even if I did go for a Nikon DSLR, I have a soft spot for Canon as well. I have an old IXUS which I’ve taken some of my best photos with – in spite of it’s slow and erratic autofocus. It always nailed the colors and gave crisp and vibrant images – so I am curious to see what a new Canon can do.
