I ordered from http://store.google.com. Three days later, DHL delivered it. Price was NOK 350 (with VAT), which by the time of delivery had been adjusted to 380 for new orders. I was only billed for 350.
Lucky you! Still waiting for mine from Expert (would have thought they had sent it, but the website has been saying “Transfered to Expedition” for three days)
Lars Fosdal Nice. I can order, but they only allow delivery in the USA. Will probably get one (I have 3 old ones) when in the USA this winter.
whats the resolution like ? Tried to find some info, maybe it depends on the connected device. The box image looks different to the stick on the google site or is this a different device ?
This is the second generation Chromecast, Brett Wilton. It now looks like a small hockey puck. Resolution = Full HD (or less if matching TVs that are not Full HD.
Lars Fosdal ok, thanks….the one I see is only a stick and 1080p is the max resolution so must be the gen 1 device. Maybe they are still pushing that locally but even on google store it wasn’t showing the puck like device. Probably Geolocation at work.
2nd gen is also limited to 1080p – but it supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5Ghz).
As far as I can tell, the Google Store carries it for US, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the UK – but this is from a year old Google post. – Also, Australia, Belgium, Japan, Korea, Portugal, and Switzerland.
But again – old data for old Chromecast.
Yes the old stick style is sold in NZ pretty cheap around $59 NZD but not the puck version as far as I can see. NZ first to get the latest IPhone, last to get the puck.

Google Store ja, stusser litt jeg også over at det tar tid. Står på venteliste for telefonene, sjekker for oppdatering hver dag… 🙂
Ringte Google Store, de venter på Chromecast Audio som de mest sannsynlig får inn i morgen. Jeg bestilte begge.
