I’ve posted a #USB #TypeC legacy cable review for Orzly’s 4 pack of USB Type-C to Type-A cables.
tl;dr: Good cables! SuperSpeed USB 3.1 5gbs support means these are futureproof cables.
About a month ago, I posted one of my very early reviews of Orzly’s USB 2.0 A-to-C cables and found that they were out of spec, using the improper 3A identifier resistor instead of the one for “Default USB Power”.
Since then Orzly’s discontinued the bad cables entirely, and their new cables, which support USB 3.1 Gen 1 SuperSpeed, have been confirmed to all comply with the proper CC termination as outlined by the USB Type-C specification.
Great work, Orzly! I recommend these cables as they are a really great deal for 4 cables.
Also, this is the first review where I use a #PixelC for testing. In the picture below, I am checking SuperSpeed client functionality with a Dell XPS laptop.
