When I read the story behind this song, I cried.  The vocalist of Dumdum Boys, Prepple Houmb, wrote this song “Thief, thief” to his daughter, who died from Meningitis.

Translation:
—
asks noone, not anyone
the swish of the steel
cuts the heavens open
no one safe in the meadows

reaps the harvest, never sleeping
never resting, blind and muted
soon there, then here, like lightning
steals your precious one

theif thief

there is no penance that repairs
hearts torn sunder
no pardon that saves
one and all cut down

thief thief

all we are alike
to the scythe
had he a soul, it was the one of a magpie
stealing those that shines the most

theif theif

theif thief
steals the precious one
sneaking in the shadows
only we are left behind

thief thief
took what he found
all we can recall
will never be forgotten

May she rest in peace.
