It can be both entertaining and enlightening to be observed with outside eyes. Here are some observations from a young Portuguese woman who moved to Norway 🙂

Nice 🙂
I’ve been to Norway twenty years ago on a motorbike and always found the Norwegians to be friendly and helpful.
I can relate to the bit with the twenty minute tunnel. We almost froze to death before we finally came back into the sun. 😉
Lübbe Onken Yeah, we have some really long tunnels in the western region, like the one in Lærdal which is 24.51km long (15.23 miles). This video claims it is the world’s longest – but I think the swiss have it beat now.
There are a lot of interesting details with this tunnel – such as the carbon filter air purification. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%C3%A6rdal_Tunnel
Lars Fosdal Defininely not the Laerdal tunnel. That one was built after our visit. I like the air treatment plant!
IIRC, the tunnel was near Flam on our way to Bergen. We entered it in the bright summer sun, wearing only our leather and a t-shirt underneath (was before I had textile clothing) and came out frozen solid. We lay down in the midday sun leaving our leather clothes on, soaking in the heat like a lizard.
People looked at us like we were crazy, but they went through the tunnel in a car with heating 🙂
We will actually spend our summer (well, close to autumn) vacation in Norway this year. I’m really looking forward to it.
