I mildly disagree with Mack on the overkill thing, because astrophysics is pretty different from climatology. But as a retort to “learn some actual SCIENCE” it does the trick, I guess.
Some of the people used as alibi by the doubters are scientists from tangential sciences, who tend to overstate the importance of their own field (like the theory that climate change is caused by cosmic radiation).
