  1. Yes. I’ve seen similar with firmware, such as wifi testing. “Could not connect”: there are so many causes, it takes a packet sniffer to suss out what probably happened. And it’s not consistent or repeatable. Often the firmware could have given a hint, but the dev thought “Why bother? Just try again.”
