More than $6 per month per user… This is the price of a hardware server… Nice API, a lot of features, but high pricing if you want to make an App with a growing set of users.
A. Bouchez I agree but for smaller projects can be very useful (I will try to use it for a small business company here in Italy with an ecommerce website and some integration with local services). Main advantage is availability and that mobile, desktop and web client apps are already available from slack.com – Slack: Be less busy

MS is also approaching the Slack territory. If you are an Enterprise MS shop like us – it is likely that slack will have an uphill fight.

Uphill fight. Slack is way out in front in terms of market share. It’s MS that has to catch up.
$6/month/user is nothing in comparison to that same employee’s wage

David Heffernan We have 5000 users and are in the process of switching to Office365. We are a handful of people that use Slack.
If I am to take a guess at which of the two – Slack or Microsoft Teams – that the pointy haired bosses will select, I’d have to say the MS one.
Don’t get me wrong – I like Slack – and I believe Teams will be waaay behind in the number of supported integrations.
Anyways – Slack is not taking this sitting down.
