… well, he might be capable of getting something through a compiler, but an “engineer” he’s not. An engineer would never allow some jackass to say “It’ll be done in a month, won’t it?” An engineer would say “See these use cases? Sign here…. and here… and here… and initial every page, coz that’s what you’ll get in a month. Change anything and your deadline is dead.”
Looks like me, successfully getting something oversized just a bit up the road. I duct taped a dishwasher to the top of the car, and got it 2 miles to home. $1.67 delivered now, or $50 delivered next Tuesday? I might hire a guy like this for estimating “I can get the job done faster, better, and cheaper”… When they want $1000 to pump a couple of yards concrete to the back yard, perhaps the better solution is to open up the front and back door and just truck it though the house with some wheelbarrows hecht-haus.net – Joe’s view of the day
