Life of a Coder:-
8:47 AM Toasted sausage sandwich and a strong coffee
9:00 AM devise the offensive test data
10:00 AM pledge to remove offensive test data before you check in files.
11:00 AM more coffee and tea-room discussion about which bit of our test data is ‘unacceptable in the workplace’
12:00 midday add a few items of test data you hadn’t thought of before.
1:00 PM eat food a hipster would never look sideways at
2:00 PM inadvisable coffee in the afternoon.
3:00 PM code furiously for 2 hours
5:00 PM roll back 95% of the code changes you made and forget to remove test data.
6:00 PM [ in the local pub ] neck 2 pints and devise a script to check out and remove the offensive test data before shipping.
7:30 PM [ leaving the pub ] a quick shot of Jack on the way out the door.
8:00 PM remember to chmod the sanity script and leave a half eaten burger on your boss’s swivel-chair.
11:00 PM pass out in a bed over 75 miles from your desk.
