WTF, Google. Did nobody research this namespace? 😛
“Firebase is a mobile platform that helps you quickly develop high-quality apps, grow your user base, and earn more money. Firebase is made up of complementary features that you can mix-and-match to fit your needs.”

Not sure what point you are making. This outfit has been around for 5 years, and were acquired by Google a couple of years ago.

What is your complaint?
Why did nobody tell me!?
😛
I stumbled on the link and could not remember seeing it before. My bad.
Perhaps you should have done more research before posting! 😉
Anyway I still don’t understand your point or see any relevance to this group.
Ya think!?
Relevance: Firebase, FireMonkey, Mobile apps…
I cannot see any Delphi here. Two products that both contain the word Fire. I’m sure that there are many many more. Perhaps Embarcadero should have chosen a different name…..
Firebase has been a hype in the tech area for several years even before it got acquire by Google. And well, even if it’s a new project announced today, I don’t think it there will be a namespace conflict issue with the Fire* products by EMBT. Maybe you can blame this one: http://vcl.github.io/ 😉
Want: To deal with the things we can solve, instead of dwelling on what we can’t. To help people solve coding related issues and discover new tools, components, techniques, blogs, jobs, etc.
Want not: Posts that go very far off-topic, are of an incendiary nature, or posts that are related to Embarcadero policies or practices, or in general deal with issues that are beyond the control of the members of this community – should be posted on the Official forums – or in our rant and rage department known as Unit Number5 – or elsewhere.
Firebird, Firefox, Fire …joke 😉
