  1. Actually, free speech must remain free to offend, or it becomes unfree. Once you use force of law to limit it in any way, ut becomes subject to changing fashion.

    It used to be common sense that if you didn’t like what was being said, you didn’t listen. That is actually important to liberty.

  2. Hmm. And yet we have laws in various countries that prohibit certain kinds of free speech. For example, in Germany, anything that reeks of racism or xenophobia might be in violation of those laws. So who is right? Does something cease to be free speech when it’s now hate speech? Who decides?
